Installation Methods: Kan-Go-Roo offers two (2) types of installations.
1. Concrete Installation
Installing a playground in concrete is a labour intensive process, and installers can often run into unforeseen problems during site preparation or digging of holes. i.e. ledge rock, buried pipes, cables, wires, etc.
- Site preparation: Excavation and grading of playground area
- Calculation and measuring: Measuring and marking of playground post holes.
- Drilling post holes: Each post hole must be drilled with an auger, in rocky areas this is where problems often occur. Each post hole must be levelled, and then a tube is installed. In rocky or urban terrains it is advisable to have a freestanding structure.
- Playground assembly: The playground is then assembled and levelled.
- Pouring concrete: The concrete is then pored and left to harden.
- Clean site: The site is then cleaned of any debris that was caused during installation.
- Placing the Border: If you have chosen a playground border then it will be installed at this point.
- Protective surfacing: The protective surfacing is then distributed over the playground area.
- You now have a playground that you can be proud of, your children will have a safe place to play and you can feel confident that you made the right choice with Kan-Go-Roo Playgrounds Ltd.

2. Free standing Installation
Free standing installation is the process of installing the playground structure on a steel sled, instead of in concrete; this is used mainly to reduce the cost of installation, and to avoid problems with rocky locations or underground wire. It is also much easier to move a structure that is installed on a free standing
sled then a structure that is installed in concrete. Often future projects require a play structure to be moved, with a free standing structure this is much easier to do. There is an extra charge for the free standing frame however this is usually offset by the reduced cost of installation.
